What to Pack for an Overnight Date Night (and What to Leave at Home)
You do not need a suitcase. You need a change of clothes and the willingness to leave your laptop in the car.
One of the most common questions we get before a first visit is what should we bring. The short answer: not much. The Retreat is set up so you do not need to plan, shop, or pack a full bag. But there are a few things worth thinking about.
Bring
- Swimsuit for the hot tub (or do not, it is private)
- A comfortable change of clothes for the evening
- Something to sleep in, or not
- Phone charger
- Your partner's favorite drink, if we do not already have it
- Any snacks you want beyond the charcuterie we provide
Leave at home
- Laptop. Seriously.
- Work clothes. You are not going to a meeting tomorrow. You are going to a fire pit.
- Towels. We have them.
- Toiletries beyond your personal products. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash are all provided.
- A packed itinerary. The property has a natural flow. Let it happen.
The one thing most couples forget
A speaker. We have a Bluetooth speaker at the property, but some couples prefer their own playlist. If music matters to you, load a playlist before you arrive. The best playlists we have overheard are the ones couples made together in the car on the way over.
What we provide
Clean linens and towels. Full kitchen. Coffee maker with coffee. Hot tub ready and heated. Fire pit with a s'mores kit. Projector with streaming access. Paint and sip supplies. Charcuterie board with a welcome note. Candles and ambient lighting. The goal is that the property feels like someone set up the perfect evening for you, because we did.
Check in at 4 PM. Checkout at 11 AM. The less you bring, the more it feels like an escape.
